Splash Park Fun

Some friends and I all got together with our kids at a Splash Park here in town.

Lilly didn't really play in the water much, but it was a great time to be with our friends!

Happy Father's Day!

Lilly is so very lucky to have such an outstanding Daddy!  

  He must have had a wonderful role model!  :)

She loves him so much she woke him up early to give him none other than the WORLD CUP!

Before heading over to our family BBQ, Lilly and Daddy cuddled on the couch and watched golf (of course).

Not only was it a special day for Don it was also a big day for Lilly...

She is now 5 months old!

She has been getting so surprised by the flash on the camera we're getting some very funny faces these days.  :)

In other news we are busy packing for our big move.  All of us are looking forward to living in the new house!

We sure don't want to forget this box!

Road Trip!

Lilly went on her first road trip to Greenlake, WI.  We went with some friends for a long fun weekend away.  The added bonus was that we brought Tessa too!  After both Lilly and Tessa realized this was not a short ride in the car they both settled in for some naps.

The car ride was not as bad as I had anticipated, but stressful nonetheless. 

When we got to Greenlake the weather wasn't on our side.  It was a little chilly and overcast/rainy all weekend.  Don and Tessa were brave enough to jump in the water, while Lilly and I enjoyed watching from the dock.

With the stinky weather there was lots of play time indoors.  Will LOVES playing with Lilly!  He came in for some snuggle time.  :)

The kids enjoyed some story time with Don in the morning as well.

We had a great time with our friends.  It was nice to be away from the everyday demands and spend time together.

The week that is was and will be.

I agree, I have no idea what that title meant either.  What I do know is this.... Danny boy had a birthday!!!  Happy b day Dan, get home soon so we can give you your birthday wummers and presents.

 Tri-Athlete Jean swam, cycled and ran to her first ever triathlon finish.

Way to go Jeano!!! 

Here is a throwback photo of my dad for father's day.  

He would have been 65 last week and probably teaching Lilly

where her hair is located after a slice of cake. 

In regards to my first father's day, Lilly has already given me my present... a gray hair.  Surely I thought, it couldn't happen to me.  But there it was standing proudly, and oh so pigment free in the center of my head.  I removed the offender so as not to give the other follicles any bad ideas.  If I only get one gray hair, then all these smiles, giggles and cuddles are definitely worth it.

Splish Splash

I have always loved going to the pool in the summer.  My complexion never really has shared this same love for the sun.  (and Don's tanning abilities are...well less than desirable)

I hope Lilly shares my love for playing in the water.

Here we are trying on our first bathing suit.  :) It sure is teeny weeny!

Now this suit is probably a bit more practical with the tanning genes Lilly has been blessed with.  hahaha  

She's ready to drive herself right over to the pool.

Today was the first day of summer vacation and we are excited for all the fun to begin!

Lilly tried rice cereal for the first time today.
