Trick or Treat!

Happy Halloween!!!
This year's theme was selected by one little girl..
Above Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Smee and Captain Hook flash their smiles!

To kick off the day, Peter Pan heads to the gym.  He heard his big sis will be in a pre-school parade, and there are tons of princesses to meet.

Parade time is here!!!  There's our little fairy! Go Tinkerbell go!

Kenneth tries to pickup an incredible chick.

After Lilly's morning pre-school parade Daddy has to go "work".

After work and play, it was trick or treat time!!! Lilly leads the charge up the wet streets.  The weather was rainy with no chance of meatballs, so we traded in our fairy wings for one solid jacket and a pair of boots.  Peter Pan used his frog jacket and boots to power through.  It actually lightened up later, so it was quite nice.

The kids escape the cemetery with even more candy!

"Grammy, can you hold my hand?"  Lilly asks.

Lilly poses with the pumpkins.

This pumpkin didn't make it 'til Halloween.  Reports indicate he was the victim of a wicked slice.

In other news, guess how tall Lil is?
She is more than 1 yard tall!!

Kenneth and Lil hang out with their new friend.
Thanks to Mommy Inc., the house has gotten spookier every day.

Tessa and Lilly rest after a long day of fun.  They are all smiles.

Carving It Up

Tonight was pumpkin night!  Lilly loved helping out and drawing on pumpkins.

Boo!  Tessa pawed her way into the carving action this year.

What's in there?

It's a pumpkin seed party!!!

"You found me!  Daddy said I could practice my colors until I am big enough to carve.  What do you think of my drawing?"

This carving is super messy so the kids are in their comfort zone.

And of course, the house wouldn't be complete without the giant monster out front.

5 Little Pumpkins

Lilly practices her singing.  I think she knows a talent show may be coming up soon!  See the video below.. (visible at blog).

Trick or Treat - Take 1!

So kids do have it pretty good these days.  When I was a kid, we only got to trick or treat once, or at least that is how I remember it.  Now days, the kiddos are cleaning house on the candy front, trick or treating up to 3-4 times.  The first rendezvous took place Saturday!

Tinker Bell is all smiles.  She is the architect behind this year's costumes.

Lilly was super excited to step into character!

The stagehand brings in the Pan.

So getting Pan to keep his hat on, was somewhat challenging, and obviously having both kids smile at once would be hitting the lottery, so we'll settle for 1/2.

Daddy and Pan canvas the town.  With the cold weather, K didn't mind his cap so much so it stayed on the rest of the day.

Trick or Treat!  Give us something sweet to eat.

While we missed the actual parade for Lilly's dance class, the streets will still full of trick or treaters.

Before and...

After.

Afterwards, Daddy and his crew read some books and get into character for the nite.

Captain Hook and Smee are ready to hit the town!  Argh!!!!!

Twerk or Treat!!!
The girls just want to have fun and they did.

Pumpkin Time Is Near

It's nearly pumpkin time!

To prepare, we journeyed to Naples to soak up some sun.
The rays will surely help our carving.

Jesus had some good ideas for carving.  We are now enlightened

Our littlest pumpkin sips on some smoothie while he ponders design options.

Since we always take pics of him in his food chair, here is a pic in his plaid chair.

Mommy and K head off to pumpkin land to pick some winning gourds.

But before lugging around the orange spheres, one really should stop and smell the giraffes.

This Giraffe certainly wasn't bashful.

Lilly loved feeding big G.

Is that a Dino in the background?  Just in case, Mommy rushes the kids away.

two words...
"Chick Magnet!"

Farmer K tracks down a tractor.

Lilly loves swiping Pooh's hunny.

where's Lilly?

There she is!  I think she likes Rabbit.  BTW, don't you think they could have come up with a better name for him than Rabbit?

The pumpkin farm is safe!  These two scoundrels are locked up and the key has been thrown away.

K spots the pumpkins and dashes to the perfect one.

"I got it!" says Red.

"Hmmm, all this orange.  Where are the purple and pink pumpkins?"

Bro and Sis bonded at the patch.

We came, we saw, we carted off some pumpkins.  (and kids, just our own)

The next day Lil went to school a girl, but came home a spider!  Yikes.

But before she came home she snuck in some pumpkin decorating practice.
Happy Halloween!  Only a few more days til we are off to Neverland.
