Erin has been teaching butterfly lessons at school for years. She now has a little princess of her own to share her knowledge with. There is even a song.
Anyway, here is Daddy's cliff notes. First, there was larva... aka tiny worms. They ate drank and were merry. They got chubby and made a J. This is a big deal in the caterpillar world. They then hung out in their man caves for 2 weeks playing on their iPads. Finally, they were bored and came out as butterflies.
As you can see in the following video, Lilly was thrilled to see her little buddies grow into butterflies.

Away they fly! One little guy needed Lilly's help. So she carried him to a nice mulchy spot where he gathered his thoughts until he finally flew away.
