Happy 4th of July!
Our two little independents, hug it out for the holiday.
We kicked the day off with a lite 4 mile run.
Seriously, this is not a junior high girls race, I swear. There are adults here somewhere.
28:18 this year for Daddy Mac. Third Mile was tough, all up hill.

Sasa and friend got their picture taken by the press, so keep an eye out for her in the papers.

Next up… parade time! Lilly stole Daddy's hat.
Lilly joined her other patriots to watch the unique parade. Appearances were made by superman, captain jack sparrow, wrestlers, weird dudes wearing renaissance fighting gear, the jesse white tumblers, lots of 'honest' politicians, horses, a trolley, the HS cheerleaders and football teams and many more.
Lilly filled her bag with candy, thanks to her cousin Molly showing her the ropes.
Daddy's shoulder helped for hard to see parts, like the Jesse White tumblers.
And what do you know, Lilly found one of her favorite buddies.
After the parade, we went over to the neighbors for a barbecue.
How come the firefighters always get the chicks?
After properly filling our bellies with BBQ, we went to see some fireworks.
The Mac Pack, plus one clever photo bomber who was kind enough to smile.
